The Bruin Resource Center’s (BRC) GRIT Program is a peer-to-peer life coaching program. GRIT stands for guidance, resilience, integrity, and transformation. These are principles that we aim to develop in our participants through the peer coaching process. Peer Coaches will provide one-on-one coaching to students to help them reach their academic, social and personal goals. Some topic areas of focus include time-management, goal setting, positive well-being, healthy relationships, and managing stress.
How does the program work?
After submitting this form, you will hear from your coach via email or phone within one week. Coaches are UCLA students who have been trained on how to best support other UCLA students.
Your coach will help you with the following:
- 1-on-1 guidance through meetings and follow-ups
- A supportive listening space
- Effective strategies for improving well-being
- Tools for academic success and time management
- Resource referral
- Help getting plugged into campus
- Educational opportunities
